Trump’s latest demand concerns reporting about the size of a rally crowd.

President Trump says The New York Times and other media outlets should be arrested.

Trump held a rally Saturday (10/3/26) in Vandalia, Ohio. The New York Times reported that several areas of the upper deck were empty by the time he finished speaking.

Trump disputed that. He said the arena was full, thousands of people had been turned away, and people in the upper sections had moved down to the floor.

On Monday he wrote:

“The New York Times, and many other Artificial Media Outlets, should be arrested for their dishonesty and disservice to our Country.”

The Trump administration is also fighting news organizations in court over White House access. And ABC is challenging an extraordinary, early FCC review of eight of its broadcast licenses.

The president calling for the arrest of news organizations is something I will want to remember, even if no arrests follow.
